What's ceramic abrasive grains

- Apr 23, 2023-

Ceramic abrasive‌ is a material used for grinding and polishing, mainly made of aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃). Ceramic abrasives have a very high hardness, usually around 9.0 on the Mohs scale, and can meet the grinding and polishing needs of most metals, ceramics, glass and other materials.

Composition and characteristics of ceramic abrasives
The main component of ceramic abrasives is aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃), which has high purity and high strength. Its microstructure is very fine, with a crystal size of about 0.2 microns, which makes ceramic abrasives perform well in the grinding of hard materials.

Application areas of ceramic abrasives
Ceramic abrasives are widely used in the processing of various materials, especially in processing with high surface accuracy requirements. For example, aluminum oxide ceramic abrasives are often used for grinding and polishing of metals, ceramics, glass and other materials. In addition, ceramic abrasives also have excellent wear resistance and are suitable for grinding hard materials such as cemented carbide.
