How to Repair Car Scratches

- Sep 23, 2025-

Repairing car scratches requires a series of steps.

If the scratch has turned white and feels slightly indented when pressed by hand,

but has not fully exposed the primer, this is considered a deep scratch.

The choice of sandpaper for the first step is crucial!

Bingyang Premium Water Sandpaper is the choice to make!

Feature One:Imported Silicon Carbide

Premium silicon carbide abrasive, highly wear-resistant, delivers exceptional surface finish, quality comparable to certain German-imported sandpaper brands.

Feature Two:Kraft paper backing, outstanding water resistance

Premium kraft paper, customised to the highest domestic standards, offers outstanding value for money with exceptional water resistance.

Feature Three:Tough yet supple

More resilient and flexible than standard kraft sandpaper, ensuring ease of use while extending service life.

02 Use Cases

First spray the vehicle surface with water,

then use wet sandpaper to polish it with even pressure.

The water-resistant properties of Bingyang wet sandpaper prevent it from becoming saturated during polishing,

thus avoiding damage that could compromise the finish.

Polish until all scratches are invisible,

then proceed with cross-hatch polishing and mirror polishing.

It is important to note that during the sanding process, dry sandpaper must never be used, as it causes significant damage to the paintwork and can easily sand through the surface. When addressing horizontal scratches, we should sand vertically, and when dealing with vertical scratches, we should sand horizontally. This approach reduces the difficulty of polishing, thereby lowering the rework rate and significantly enhancing the polishing results.
